Landon and Jami Vest came to visit! It was an awesome trip. Sadly we didn't do anything exciting. But the kids did play with
playdough.
And
Laynie stuck some up her nose...or at least thought about it.
They snuggled with Miss Jami one afternoon and listened to some good books.
And didn't want their pictures taken.
But it did feel like my "family" was back together for a little while.
We love you guys and can't wait to see more of our Houston loved-ones! Or wherever they are!

Falling down the stairs is totally frightening. Laynie looks very good considering the fall. Thank goodness she is still closer to the floor than her mom, dad, or brother. Did that fall bring back a few memories to you Becky? Seems, like I heard of you falling down the stairs not too long ago, but it wasn't posted on the blog.
It was nice having such good friends visit from Houston. It looked like the children were enjoying each other's company. Now, the playdough has to go in a much safer place than the nose or mouth Laynie Lou. Playdough is great fun... little messey perhaps for mom sometimes, but teaches the little ones to use their imagination, hands and, I guess, the nose. (That one has to stop).
The children were clearly enjoying Jamie reading to them. It is so great children can enjoy reading at their early ages. Much better than the TV being their constant companion.
No wonder the children are so smart. They are offered various ways to use their imagination skills by picturing in their minds what is actually going on from good books. BUT, most of all having personal attention and praise for the things made with playdough and seeing in their minds what is being read to them.
So happy they had fun with their guests.
The Wallace home is truly a welcoming place to visit for friends and family. I can hardly wait until I can make it to Virginia sometime.
Love you all,
Great Grandma Edie
