Look alike...or not.

This is Laynie and three-months old.

This is Audrey at three-months old.
Besides the obvious difference (troll hair vs. no hair) do you think they look at all alike?

Not that you can tell, but I think Audrey looks a lot like Gavin did as a baby...except that she has much more chub.  (We love chub!)

But one thing all my kids have in common are beautiful blue eyes!  I wonder if Audrey's will be pale like Gavin's or gray-green-blue like Laynie's?

Either way, she's DELICIOUS!!

Visits With Friends

I didn't use my camera very much while we were in Utah...no record of the zoo, of our trip to Thanksgiving Point, Joel's wedding, or the regular goof-off stuff we do when I visit my family.
BUT, I do have this picture:
My friend Jen and I have babies that are all exactly the same age.  So we had to get a picture of our new ones.  This is little Liam and Audrey at my mom's house.  They are eight weeks apart.  Jen and I secretly have hopes that this picture will show at their wedding reception.

Later that week, her son Kai had an awesome birthday party at a rock climbing gym.  It was a blast!

I have friends spread all across this country, but I'm lucky that we've managed to plan our summer vacations to overlap in Utah.  If we all didn't have that central tie, I don't think we'd get to see the people we love!

Summer Sprinklers

Can summer be complete without running through the sprinklers? (And having your aunt shoot you in the back?)

My awesome outlaw, Laura (Looli's mom), sent us this super fun beach ball sprinkler that watered my kids and my yard.  Thanks Laura!

And this is our buddy Mr. Bones.

He lives in our yard and Gavin and Laynie rescue him regularly from our dog.

Blessing Day

So it's official...She's Audrey Jane Wallace. I just call her Baby, and probably will for a while. (I still haven't mailed in her birth certificate...and maybe I won't until I need it).

We were so glad that Warden, Rick and MeMe were here to join us!

Nice job holding her head up, Jamie. I'm sure he's thinking, "What? She's my third! She'll live." Still pretty cute.

Her dress was so beautiful. I loved the big bow. And her blessing blanket was perfect! Thanks Grandma Ardy and Great Grandma Edie!

Random Things to Remember

I have these random pictures that have no theme, but they are moments I don't want to forget.

Like when I got out of the shower and found MeMe and Audrey asleep together. It's awesome to have someone love your kids as much as you do.

Laynie loves dresses. She wants to wear a dress every single day, and she loves to have her hair done "fancy."

I made some delicious chocolate cream cheese frosting. Everyone loved it, including Jamie. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's awesome when he wants seconds of something I made.

Baby in Stages

Sleeping baby...
Screaming baby...

Gooing..

Cooing...

Grinning baby.

Audrey is growing and changing every day! She still looks a lot like Gavin did (aka little old man), but we love her sweet smile and happy noises.

Saturday at the Fire Station

Our local fire station hosts an open house every June. Jamie and I took Gav and Laynie, but left Audrey home with Aunt MeMe. It was good for the big kids to have a little one-on-one time with mom and dad!

The trucks were so shiny that the kids could see their reflections. Can you see Gav's little face?

The tires on the ladder truck were almost as tall as Laynie.

Almost the same picture as last year!

The kids favorite part: the bounce house!

And of course, the free hot dogs!

The bomb squad was a new addition. Gav thought the robot was AWESOME!

And the police patrol boat was a big hit!

The coolest part of the day, in my opinion, was how well my kids answered the fire safety questions! Even Laynie knew to crawl and check the door for heat. Not that
it's a relief exactly, but at least the aren't clueless!

And in typical crazy Saturday fashion, Gav also had his last t-ball game and end of the season party.

Here he is with his super cool trophy. He was so proud that he put it on my dresser.

First Two Weeks

Audrey's two weeks old today! She has gained a little weight and is a pretty sweet baby...except at night. Not a good sleeper. I guess it should't be a surprise since she looks exactly like Gavin, and he didn't sleep at all till he was four months old.

The other kids have had plenty of attention from Aunt MeMe and Grandma Ardy. And Guggy sent an awesome package to keep them busy. Gav and his dad built this awesome castle. Think he likes it?

Laynie likes to play mommy's helper...some of the time. We've seen the green-eyed monster rear it's jealous little head on occasion.

My sister, Lizzy, sent this GORGEOUS blanket. Yes, she did crochet it herself.

And Grandma Ardy gave Audrey her first bath.

I was nervous to bathe Gavin when he was a baby, so I made my mom do it. Since then it's been a tradition.

Gavin's Preschool Graduation

Phew! Preschool is over! Gavin had a great year in Ms. Vickie's class. He loved school, his teacher and new friends.

Here he is receiving his diploma.

Since I was in the hospital, Grandma Ardy, MeMe, Laynie and Daddy got to enjoy the graduation festivities.

And of course, the diploma became a sword. Gavin can turn anything into a weapon!

I'm sad I didn't get to hear the graduation songs, first hand. My mom said they were entertaining!

It's in my Jeans

I always post a picture of my babies when they wear their first pair of jeans. Ninety percent of the pictures they have taken for the rest of their lives will probably be when they are in denim. So it seems important to document the first one.

I have a very similar picture of Gavin holding Laynie on my blog back in 2008. Here's the link. Looking back at that old picture of Gav...man he's grown so much!

And speaking of another right of passage, don't we all need pictures of our boys covered in dirt?

Poor hot and sweaty Gavin! T-Ball at 90+ degrees is MISERABLE!

Introducing Audrey Jane Wallace!

(I'm not sure why blogger won't let me upload pictures in a normal order and format. So just ignore the layout and look at the delicious new baby!)

Audrey Jane Wallace joined the Wallace Family on May 26, 2011. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.

So far she's a great eater and sleeper! Will post more (especially the story of Jamie on the operating floor) later!
